The Bedadi Project Handover
bedadi
For over 4 years IDEALS has supported the project of rehousing homeless victims of the 2005 Pakistan earthquake. These destitute people have now been given the deeds of their newly build earthquake proof homes and accept for connection of electricity, the project is now complete.
In April the documents were handed over at a formal but very cheerful and joyful ceremony. A senior villager told John Beavis "We had faith that you would do all you could for us and never let us down, but we worried that the task was too large. Thank you, we will pray each day for IDEALS and all who work with and support you so that others may benefit."
There have been many practical problems and disappointments along the way and security has always been difficult. We are delighted however that this project has come to a successful conclusion.
Thanks to all of you who have contributed to making this terrific venture possible
