IDEALS accountant Sue Griffith joined the Board of Trustees in early 2007 and brought a wealth of accounting experience, energy and drive with her. Sue graduated from Cambridge University in 1977 having specialised in Metallurgy & Material Science, but soon changed direction and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981. Since then she has combined a career in accountancy with the role of wife and mother. Having initially worked in private practice, Sue has also worked in commerce and the Charitable sector - having been Accountant to the Kent Branch of the Red Cross in the 1990’s and then accountant to a music education charity. Commercial appointments have included FC to the Weeks Group plc and most recently FC of a subsidiary of the Hueck Folien Gmbh & Co.KG group. Sue has also held a number of honorary posts as treasurer in the past, including PCC treasurer for her local church and is now delighted to be involved with IDEALS. Sue is keen on music, history, countryside stewardship & the theatre; with ambitions one day to become a village organist and to produce drinkable cider from her recently planted orchard.
